23 minutes, the Blue Ship almost got it. Kevin De Bruyne charged up the left before crossing the ball high into the middle. Erling Haaland headed it at the far post, but the ball was too strong and he couldn’t force it into the frame.

Five minutes later, Man City had a chance to counterattack. Kevin De Bruyne flicked the ball forward for Savinho, who dragged it to the edge of the penalty area before shooting with his left foot, but it was off target.

At the end of the first half.

Man City had chances from both Haaland and De Bruyne, but they still couldn’t put the ball into the goal, so the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

Two minutes into the second half, Brentford had a chance from a free kick when Jensen crossed from the left into the penalty area for Nathan Collins to head the ball down, but it bounced off the post and went wide.

Three minutes later, Man City had a chance to counterattack, ending with a shot from Savinho in the penalty area, who fired a powerful left-footed shot, but the ball hit the post hard.

The Citizens continued to push forward, having chances from Haaland’s header and Savinho’s long-range shot, but were denied. Brentford also had a chance from Vitali Janelt.

Brentford had the ball in the net in the 65th minute from a long-range shot by Mikkel Damsgaard, but the first moment of stopping the ball was ruled offside and the goal was denied.

The situation changed less than a minute later when it was Man City who took the lead 1-0. Kevin De Bruyne curled a cross from the right into the penalty area, Phil Foden leapt and fired a beautiful left-footed shot that hit the far post.

Man City extended their lead to 2-0 in the 78th minute.

Savinho got the ball in the middle of the field before dragging it into the penalty area and shooting himself, but Phil Foden ran to follow up from less than ten yards and hit the save into the net. It was Foden’s second goal of the match.

The home side pulled one back four minutes later when Mikkel Damsgaard chipped in from the right wing to Mads Roerslev, who slammed the ball into the middle to Yohan Wissa, who had the time to unleash a left-footed shot from six yards out.

The game looked set to end in a win for the visitors, but Brentford equalised in stoppage time when Keane Lewis-Potter crossed from the left into the penalty area and Christian Norgaard headed past Ortega to make it 2-2.
