‘I have confidence and trust in the club. There is nothing we can change. We have to stick to training. After coming back from the holiday, we are focused on the game. We want to prove it again tomorrow,’ Flick said.

Asked about Laporta’s comments

about outsiders trying to destabilise the team and the club, Flick insisted that he remains focused on what is on the pitch and his players above all else.

‘We focus on our job, we have to focus on what we can change. I can’t focus on what’s happening in the club. The club is like a big family. I have nothing but good words for my players. The relationship is very good.’

‘We are very proud that they trust my team to lead this team. Our job is to see how everything goes and how it progresses. In the first half of this year, everyone has shown that the most important thing is that we succeeded.’

‘We are working to win trophies, just like we did on Sunday. I feel it in every training session. Everyone at the club accepts their role. It’s good to see that. It’s not easy.’

‘When you win a trophy, that’s what reflects, but you have to keep showing it every day. Tomorrow is your chance to do that.’

Flick also spoke about the registration of Olmo and Victor, adding: ‘I trust Laporta’s explanation.’

Asked about extending his contract with Barcelona in the future, the German coach replied: ‘I haven’t thought about it yet. Everything is happening very fast in Barcelona. I feel very good. I want to work at Barcelona. And I have a year and a half left on my contract. Now I have to focus on coaching. ‘
